Tips to minimise skin damage
1. This is not the first time you have heard it but it's time to heed
this age-old advice. Drink lots of water. At least two litres a day
because water helps to increase metabolism and maintains good skin.
Mother is right. Eat your vegetables, especially those containing
vitamins E and C. Vegetable oil, nuts and green leafy vegetables are
rich in vitamin E while asparagus, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and
cabbage are packed with vitamin C.
3. Don't leave home without
it. I'm not talking about your credit card but UV protection lotion on
your body, especially your face. Try to get one with Sun Protection
Factor (SPF) 15 and above. Carrying an umbrella when it is hot may look
silly but it's the best way to protect your skin from the sun.
Don't let your emotions bring you down. When possible, be light and
happy about yourself, and everything else. It will do your skin good.
