Mashed Apple Face Mask

Masks seem to be very popular these days, so I went through some of my books and looked for a recipe that contained ingredients that I had on hand. I found one that LOOKED promising, but it was a complete failure. But instead of looking for another subject to write about, I thought that I would tell you what happened.

I want you to be aware that problems can occur when you whip up your own beauty products. Just because they contain natural ingredients, does not mean that they are foolproof! And then I will adapt the recipe and try it again and share those results with you as well.

Autumn  Mask

    * 1 ripe apple
    * 1/2 tsp Half and Half
    * 1 tsp honey
    * 1 T oats
    * 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Peel and grate the apple and then add the remaining ingredients.
 Mash with a fork to reduce the texture, and then apply it to your face. Wait 10 minutes and then wash off.

Okay, I tried the recipe above and I have to admit that it smelled absolutely heavenly. It was VERY messy to apply and I had my husband apply it while I stretched out on the couch to relax. Big mistake! He had a great time spooning it on, patting it in place and getting it my hair. I'm not even going to show you the photo of me relaxing with this mask. ;)
