Makeup Challenges Differ By Ethnicity

Every woman wants to look her best, but that can be a challenge, as there's no one-size-fits-all approach to makeup.

Women of different ethnicities have their own special cosmetic needs.

Celebrity makeup artist Shalini Vadhera, author of "Passport to Beauty," stopped by The Early Show Monday with tips on how to meet those challenges.

"Choices in make-up for women of color are better today than they were a few years ago," says Shalini. "Companies have expanded their brands to include women of different cultures. Also, a lot of the brands formulate their favorites to work on different skin tones. You don't always have to go with brand specifically for your skin tone for it to work. And don't forget, it is all in the application!"

Vadhera showed how Asian, African-American and Caucasian women could bet use makeup to bring out their best.
