JH Partners Invests in Australian Skin Care Company, Jurlique

Jurlique and JH Partners also announced that Eli Halliwell has been named President and CEO of Jurlique.

John Hansen, the recently appointed chairman of the board of Jurlique, and principal of JH Partners, said, "We are pleased to partner with Jurlique to help maximize the company's growth. As a middle market company with a strong product line and significant growth potential, Jurlique fits our focus and represents an attractive investment opportunity."

"We're also pleased to have Eli Halliwell at the helm," added Mr. Hansen. "His entrepreneurial experience and international perspective provide the strategic leadership needed to nurture the best in Jurlique and take the company forward."

Mr. Halliwell was recruited after an intensive international search for a CEO who would strengthen the brand's commitment to sustainable business practices, and environmental and social responsibility.

Mr. Halliwell said, "I'm excited about the possibilities at Jurlique as we continue to quietly nurture Jurlique's presence in the U.S. and other markets. Jurlique offers a unique opportunity to more fully express a commitment to sustainability, the environment and healthy, more balanced living."

Mr. Halliwell joins Jurlique from Bumble and bumble, the prestigious hair care company owned by Estee Lauder Companies. At Bumble and bumble, Mr. Halliwell served as general manager and was known for his strategic thinking, passionate leadership style, and a track record of growth. Previously, he served as co-founder, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for iMotors, Inc. a $100 million internet retailer of cars.

About Jurlique

Jurlique's skin care collection is based on plant and flower-based extracts, elixirs, and lotions made from such ingredients as quince, marsh mallow, rose, chamomile, calendula, and lavender -- grown on its own organic, biodynamic farm in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. With its clean, minimalist packaging and an emphasis on quality over fanfare, Jurlique regularly is named by magazines as a "green must-have" and is a favorite among actresses, models, and make-up artists.

In addition to a significant presence in resort and destination spas, Jurlique has 14 independent retail locations in the U.S. ranging from New York's Madison Avenue and Soho, to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Fillmore Street in San Francisco. The company has over 60 locations internationally, including a strong presence in Australia, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and throughout Asia.
