Body Shop International Plc, a U.K. natural cosmetics retailer that
agreed to be bought by L'Oreal SA last month, delayed the announcement
of its full-year results because of additional work connected with the
bid.
The retailer, which sells products such as Strawberry Body Scrub,
said it expects to report its preliminary sales and profit for the year
through February on May 5.
L'Oreal agreed to pay 652 million pounds for Littlehampton,
England-based Body Shop, which was started 30 years ago by Anita
Roddick. The first closing date for shareholders to accept the offer of
300 pence a share is May 3.
Roddick and her husband will get about 117 million pounds from their 18 percent stake in the company.
