Advancements in skin care for hands
First, Restalyne; a popular facial filler made from natural sugars, is injected into the hands to plump them up.
Then doctors use a new device called the portrait system, which uses "plasma energy" to heat and remodel the skin.
Dermatologist Dr. Tina West said, "This plasma technology works
on the surface of the skin to even out the pigment, but also targets
the collagen underneath. This combination of procedures will make her
hands look 10 to 15 years younger."
The results of the Restalyne are almost immediate and can
improve over time, but it can take a week for the effects of the
resurfacing to become visible.
The process of hand rejuvenation takes about an hour, and costs between $2,000 and $3,000.
