Doctor Richard Mauer says the line is called "d'vine" and will be sold exclusively from his Cedar Falls headquarters.

 The product line includes: moisturizers, toners, skin lifters, skin bronzers, massage oil, and anti-aging and anti-acne products. Mauer says it's a cradle-to-grave line and the only one of the planet that's wine-based. Since one of the primary ingredients is wine, Mauer admits the skin care products do -smell- like wine. He says many of the products have something of a "musty" smell but it's not overpowering.

 Mauer says the basis for all of the products is in three ingredients, wine extract, grape seed extract and pomegranate extract. He says we've long heard of the health benefits of drinking wine in moderation and he wanted to take that to the next level by developing this product line. The d'vine line was debuted recently at a spa and resort expo in Los Angeles.

 He says the outpouring of support was unbelievable and his booth was by far the busiest of the 850-some booths there. For Iowans who are interested in trying the products, they're going to have to make a drive to Black Hawk County. D'vine will not be available online and will only be sold through certain health spas.
